The ascent new game plus Patch#
The patch also adds a new feature called Transmogrification, which you’re probably familiar with if you’ve played games like Destiny 2 or World Of Warcraft. This one includes fixes for various crashes, increases to the stability in co-op play, improvements to the audio, as well as other miscellaneous changes. This is the fifth patch for the game since its initial launch near the end of July 2021. That's pretty much it when it comes to the DLC pack, but along with it, Neon Giant have also dropped a new patch for The Ascent too.
They say the Cybersec Pack’s contents include “two new weapons, a new tactical, four new pieces of armor and four new animated weapon skins.” They’ve also put together a new trailer showing off these features, which you can take a look at below.
The ascent new game plus update#
Thank you for your patience while we worked to fix this.Neon Giant's first DLC update for The Ascent is out now. We are working to adjust this for an upcoming Patch which will make the unlocking of New Game + occur slightly sooner. Keep in mind the mission isn’t over until you return to Cluster 13 and all end game Imp messages play out. Players should now be able to play New Game + after having completed mission 12. Today we’ve released a hotfix for the issues some players are experiencing starting New Game +. We appreciate your feedback, patience, and understanding. We apologies for those who have experienced an issue, the team is working to address this as soon as possible. We would recommend that if you want to unlock New Game +, you either play as the host in a coop game, or play through single-player first. To be able to play New Game + in Coop mode, both client and host need to have unlocked New Game +. Other players playing with the host will get player-progression but not mission-progression after their playthrough, meaning they would have to finish mission 12 as a host or solo to be able to unlock New Game +. Due to the way the Coop (host/client) system is architected, only a host that has fully completed mission 12 will unlock New Game +. New Game + and Coop gameplayWe’d like to provide more clarity on how New Game + works with Coop players. We believe we have found a fix for this and will deploy it as soon as possible after further testing. Unlocking New Game + issueWe’ve noticed that some players are encountering issues with New Game+ unlocking even after full completion of Mission 12. We understand that this is not ideal, and are currently working on an adjustment for the next patch to make the unlocking of NG+ happen sooner. If you quit before this, New Game + will not unlock.

Key reminders on how to unlock New Game +We would like to remind players that currently, to unlock New Game +, you have to finish Mission 12 completely: the mission isn’t over until you are back in Cluster 13 and all end game Imp messages have played out. We would like to provide some clarity on our next steps:
